Our company is the founder of the Vascular Plasma network collecting human blood plasma used as basic pharmaceutical raw material. Actually, the first center was opened in the beginning of 2016; thereafter, due to the dynamic development of the network we had all together 7 plasmapheresis centers by the beginning of 2019. However, the blood plasma collecting centers are no longer in the possession of our company; we are still committed to ensure the appropriate raw materials to the manufacturing of basic pharmaceutical products.
From the collected blood plasma such life-saving medicines are produced by our pharmaceutical partner that could not be made synthetically. By our activity, we contribute to the treatment of patients suffering from, for example, non-factor hemophilia or coagulation disorders.
With the cooperation of the National Blood Transfusion Service Center we operate a laboratory testing blood samples in the territory of the South Pest Hospital.
During blood donation virus testing of donations is carried out in the laboratory with nucleic acid amplification technique with which the virus-infected donations (HIV, Hepatitis B and C, West Nile virus) can be detected with high sensitivity and reliability. The adequate analytical technique facilitates the increase of the national blood safety.
The process of plasmapheresis like every pharmaceutical activity is under strict control and regulatory requirements.
The appropriate production supporting and donor registration system is essential to the operation of plasma centers.
In cooperation with our IT partner a user-customized production supporting system has been developed that is even further developed and maintained by us.
The validation documentation meeting the requirements of the national and international regulations and the demand of the centers is also made by us.
